The Biggest Bike Demo and Sales Event of the Year
Local bike shops, including Wheel Sport, North Division Bicycle Shop, Mojo Cyclery, The Bike Hub, and Velofix Spokane will be set up at Spokatopia offering demos and selling bikes and gear from Specialized, Pivot, Yeti, Trek, Rocky Mountain, Santa Cruz, and other brands. Come check out full suspension, front suspension, hardtail, and downhill mountain bikes; fat bikes; electric-assist; hybrids; 29ers; and road and commuter bikes. This will be the biggest bike demo and sales event in the Inland Northwest this year, so don’t miss out if you’re thinking about buying a new bike or want to see what’s out there for the future. Demo bikes can be checked out for free (with a current ID) and ridden on Camp Sekani singletrack, forest roads or on Centennial Trail pavement right there at the festival. Scroll to the bottom of this page for a list of demo bikes that will be available to test ride at Spokatopia this year!

Paddleboard & Other Water Sports Demos
If you’ve been thinking about buying a stand up paddleboard or just want to try different options out, this is your chance to try Stillwater Outdoors inflatable SUPs and paddles with Fun Unlimited at Boulder Beach below the central festival grounds on the Spokane River (be sure to bring a current ID). And Mountain Gear will have demo canoes and kayaks to try out as well as great deals on inflatable NRS SUPs if you’re ready to take one home. SailSport NW will also have a few Hobie Tandem Island trimarans to demo. Water Sports demos happen down at Boulder Beach from 11 a.m.-4p.m.

Parkour Demos
New to Spokatopia this year, Odyssey Parkour will be offering clinics and demos for all ages. Unleash your inner child by using your surroundings in fun and creative new ways. Odyssey Parkour will be opening in September, but you can check out obstacles early during the festival.

Weather & What to Wear
Since Spokatopia is an outdoor adventure festival, it’s a good idea to come prepared for all sorts of weather, from possible rain showers to warm afternoon sunshine breaking through the clouds. This year we will have a large tent area near the bands with seating to stay dry during occasional showers and a couple of heaters set up to dry off after you get done with water sports demos/clinics or if you get soggy demoing bikes or checking out other activities. The forecast is calling for temps in the 70s and rain showers likely in the morning, so plan to pack a rain jacket or umbrella. Also don’t forget your bike shorts/helmets for the free bike demos and board shorts/swimsuit for paddleboard and other water sports demos. An extra set of dry clothes, a towel (if you’re going in the water) and sunscreen are a good idea too. Please also bring shoes or boots for bike demos, your own water bottle, a current picture ID for bike/water sports demos. Cash or a card will come in handy for the beer garden, food vendors and other outdoor recreation items that will be for sale from festival exhibitors.
